Last Thursday, Biden invited many EV manufacturers to the White House to celebrate their initiative to have America leading the EV movement in the world. Biden wants 50% of cars manufactured to be electric by 2030.
One would have thought that Elon Musk’s Tesla would have had a seat at the table being the leading EV distributer in America. However, Musk tweeted that Tesla wasn’t even invited. Tesla, whose factories and headquarters are located in America and employing thousands of Americans, wasn’t even considered to join.
Psaki tried to ease the tensions by claiming that Tesla didn’t get an invite because they don’t employ union workers. She also stated that they might have an invite in the future.
