The CDC put out an official announcement on June 10th that they are holding an emergency meeting. The reason for the meeting is the unexpectedly high number of heart inflammation cases from the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines.
This emergency meeting that was announced on June 10th, will not be happening till the end of the following week. One would imagine that in a time of emergency and with technology for remote work and meeting in a golden-age, the CDC would move a bit more quickly.
The CDC is working to obtain more data and records ahead of the scheduled emergency meeting, so that may be one of the reasons for the delayed meeting time. At this time no halts or warnings about the vaccine have been put into place by the CDC. Drug manufacturers are still producing the vaccines as normal and trails are being held for young children to receive the vaccine as well.
We all hope that no serious consequences come of these rushed vaccines. It is still telling that the FDA doesn’t certify it and insurance companies do not cover it nor reactions to the vaccine still.
While the CDC now claims this morning that over 40% of adults in the US have been vaccinated, that still leaves the majority unvaccinated.
