Pediatricians, doctors who focus on children, have seen a massive spike in respiratory issues. The disease, called RSV, is common for kids under the age of 2 and usually easily treated. However, for children over 2 it can be much more severe.
RSV usually starts spiking in the winter, but doctors have seen a massive spike starting in July and continuing to rise. This has perplexed doctors and many are now attributing the rise in this disease to the use of masks on children.
What is worse, is when these children are contracting both RSV and COVID at the same time. As both infections attack the respiratory system, it can make recovery difficult and long for these young children.
It has yet to be determined if this combination causes higher death rates or not.
What do you think? Are we seeing the rise in respiratory diseases due to the mask wearing? Whether it be constant mask wearing, or masks being used too often without being cleaned, it seems like a logical conclusion.
